Coaching for people who are ready to work on something.
One-on-one life coaching with Mark Hope, offered at no cost through We Help People Everywhere, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You bring what you're working on. We meet, we talk it through, and you decide what to do next.
What coaching here actually is
Plain terms, so you know what you're signing up for before you write in.
Conversations, on a schedule you set
Sessions run by phone or video, usually 45 to 60 minutes. Some people meet weekly for a stretch, some check in once a month. You set the pace and you can stop whenever you want.
You do the deciding
Coaching is not advice-giving. Most of a session is spent getting the situation clear, naming what you actually control, and choosing a next step you're willing to take. The choices stay yours.
Free, and it stays free
There is no paid tier, no program to graduate into, and nothing to buy later. This is funded as charitable work through We Help People Everywhere, Inc.
What people bring
There's no wrong topic. These are the ones that come up most.
Work and direction
A job that stopped fitting, a career change you keep circling, a business idea you haven't tested, or a decision about staying versus going.
Starting something
A nonprofit, a small business, a project you've been describing to people for two years. Getting from the idea to a first concrete move.
Follow-through
You know what you want to do. It keeps not happening. Coaching is often just a standing appointment where somebody asks you how it went.
Getting unstuck
A situation with too many moving parts to think about clearly on your own. Sometimes the useful thing is saying it out loud to somebody who isn't in it.
One thing to be clear about: coaching is not therapy, counseling, medical care, or legal or financial advice. If what you're carrying is better served by a licensed professional, I'll say so and help you look for the right kind of support instead.
Getting started takes one message
Here's the whole process.
You write in
A few sentences about what's on your mind. It doesn't need to be organized — "I'm not sure where to start" is a normal opening.
We set up a first conversation
About 30 minutes, no cost and no commitment. It's mostly me listening and asking questions to understand the situation.
You decide whether to keep going
If it's useful, we schedule from there. If it isn't, that's a fine outcome and there's nothing to cancel.
